I grew up in a wonderful, Christian household, where I learned much about who God is. It wasn’t until I went to college at The University of Texas at Austin though that Christ captured my heart by revealing to me how He loves me unconditionally and has set me free from all of my sin. From then on, I began to learn what it meant for my identity to be completely in Jesus and not of this world.
I started working with middle school and high school students when I served as a camp counselor for two summers at Laity Lodge Youth Camp, near Kerrville, Texas. For my last two years of college, I volunteered with Young Life as a WyldLife leader in west Austin. After graduating college, I served as a Student Ministry Intern at The Austin Stone Community Church, where I focused on discipleship of high school girls. I loved having the opportunity of living life along the students and teaching them how to follow Jesus on a daily basis. During this time, I completed Austin Stone Institute’s Leadership Development Program.
After living in Austin for a total of five years, I moved to Fort Worth in August of 2014. I love spending time with my family, playing games, exploring new places and cuddling with my family’s dogs. I’m a coffee fanatic with a strong sweet tooth! I treasure time spent in the mountains of Colorado, hiking, exploring and indulging in a good book.
