I grew up in a Christian home, but at a young age started to greatly struggle with the knowledge of my sin. I felt like a horrible person because of it. Through several youth pastors and other influences in my life, the gospel was shared with me and I clearly understood how vast God’s love and grace is for us who believe in Jesus Christ. I accepted Christ in high school and began to follow Him at age 17. Ever since then my understanding and joy of His redemption through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross has grown exponentially. I constantly discover my need for my Savior. Jesus is my Lord and my Shepherd.
I grew up with Christ Chapel being my home church. I felt God’s call to ministry during college, after all the events that lead me to faith in high school. However I was afraid to follow God’s call, and I ran from Him. After graduation I continued to run, seeking wealth in the business world but continued to only find dissatisfaction. Through that dissatisfaction I started volunteering at Christ Chapel which made God’s call grow even louder and more apparent in my life. Finally after many conversations and much prayer, I submitted to God’s leading and quit my job to pursue ministry. It was just at that time that a position opened up at Christ Chapel, which allowed for me to also attend Southwestern Seminary. I attended Southwestern for four years and in December of 2018 I graduated with a Master’s of Divinity. I give God the glory for all of these details and events that have taken place in my life! There is no way all of this could have happened without His hand at work.
