I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was 12 years old at a summer camp called Laity Lodge Youth Camp (LLYC). One of my counselors showed me what it was like to experience the love of Christ through a human relationship, opening the door for conversations about who Jesus was and what he did on the cross for me. Through this relationship with my counselor, I developed a passion for teaching others about the love of Christ through deep and intentional relationships, eventually leading to a career in counseling.
The Lord led my husband and me to Christ Chapel as we were praying for a church home that had an emphasis on small community groups where would could make deep, long lasting, Christ-centered friendships. Through our involvement with our small group at Christ Chapel, I learned about Soul Care and developed an interest in becoming involved with the ministry. The Lord opened the door for me to accept a position on staff with Soul Care where I have the privilege of caring for sufferers, restoring sinners and equipping the saints!
Currently, my family is growing and expanding! My husband and I have one little boy named Graham who is two years old and we are expecting our second little boy Cooper to arrive any day now. Things are definitely exciting at the Marler house! I love traveling and having adventures of any kind, particularly when those adventure involve being outside.
