I grew up in a Christian home, regularly attended church and was involved in things like AWANA, so it felt like a very natural experience to accept Christ at the age of five, while praying with my dad outside a restroom in a Texas state park. I had a real renewal of that decision when I was a teenager and it all made sense at that point. He is still an important part of my life.
I began attending Christ Chapel with my parents when I was 10. We had attended McKinney Bible Church before that and many of my friends from school attended CCBC so it was a good fit for us. Christ Chapel has played a vital role in my spiritual growth and maturity. The teaching I got in the youth programs with Jon Dansby and David Phillips was amazing, and the chance to get involved in things like missions trips and being in the praise band in the High School Ministry were wonderful opportunities. I started working in the front office of the church in 2009, and have since transitioned into my current position.
I was born and raised in Fort Worth, which is where my parents still live. My sister, whom I am very close to, and her husband live in Colorado. I feel very blessed to be part of such a close-knit family. I enjoy reading, painting, photography, hunting and spending time with my friends and family and also some quiet time to myself.
