I was raised in a wonderful Christian home where I was at church often. Yet it took some hard circumstances my senior year of high school before I really understood the gospel and received Jesus as my Lord. This has cultivated a heart in me to help “church kids” really see our great God for who He is and not just as an activity that we do on Sundays.
My husband, Jonathan, and I have been married for 10 years and have four children — Caleb (8), Adalyn (6) and twins, Joseph and Levi (4). My favorite place is the beach and I love sports and spending time with friends, preferably over a cup of coffee. We came to Christ Chapel in the summer of 2016 when my husband accepted a job with the Men’s Ministry. Even with the West Campus still meeting in a school we were immediately impressed with the Children’s Ministry. I was just able to drop my twins off and was amazed at how their teachers embraced them and me. And my older two were already learning stories and people of the Bible that I’d never heard of until much later in life. This drew me to want to be a part of Children’s Ministry as well and I began working in Kids Care, which I loved. Now in my new role I am most excited about watching the Bible come alive to these kids on Sunday mornings, whether they are hearing it for the first or hundredth time. As my daughter often reminds me, “The Bible is God’s true Word and everything in it really happened.”
