I taught high school family and consumer science for 26 years. Retiring from the education field in December 2010, I visited Christ Chapel for the first time the next summer at Women in the Word Bible study. I met two wonderful women at my table – Cheryl Stockdale and Beverly Raynaud. I am so grateful to both ladies because I kept coming back! I started out volunteering, then worked part-time in Children’s Ministry. God has blessed me by providing this wonderful staff that I get to work with daily.
I developed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at the age of 9 during a James Robinson revival at Rosen Heights Baptist Church. Over the years I have grown as I have studied His Word and been involved in different Bible studies.
In my spare time I love to bake, sew, collect antique furniture and attend antique auctions. I also collect roosters, hearts, birdhouses and welcome signs. My favorite author is Grace Livingston Hill. I also volunteer as a mentor at South High Mount Elementary School.
