My family was living as missionaries in Brazil when I became a Christian at 5 years old. Seeing God move among the people and seeing His power in that context helped me develop a heart and love for Jesus at a young age.
After living several years overseas, my husband and I came to Fort Worth to serve and resettle refugees with World Relief. He was in a church mobilization role and through that relationship met Micah Barnum and got to know Christ Chapel. We’ve now been here for six plus years. When the Thrive ministry first launched and I was asked to lead a group, I felt like it was an area of service the Lord was calling me to. Since then, it has become something that’s near to my heart and I love seeing God powerfully work in the hearts of the participants. I started as a group leader, serving in that context for about three years before getting more involved as the Women’s Shepherd.
With three kids – 2, 4 and 6 — my husband, Wes, and I are enjoying what we call our beautiful mess. We’re always up for an adventure – camping, being outdoors and traveling. I also love going out to a fun coffee shop, rock climbing and being a part of the sweet community we have at Christ Chapel.
