I grew up going to a Christian camp outside of Austin, TX where I was first exposed to the Christian faith. I really didn’t think much of it growing up, and thought that going to a Christian camp during the summer meant I was a Christian. It wasn’t until I got to college that I realized what I had been missing. I had some incredible friends from that Christian camp that started bringing me to church and got me involved with KLIFE. It was through those things that I started realizing my need for a Savior, and my constant need for His love and grace.
Honestly it’s a funny story about how I ended up at Christ Chapel! I had been attending a different church for about a year and a half, but was struggling to find community there. Two weeks before TCU’s fall break my junior year, all of my plans fell through. I was telling one of my friends about it and she asked me to go on Christ Chapel’s College Ministry’s fall break trip to Denver with her! There was only a few spots left, so I signed up and went only knowing a few people. Little did I know that the Lord was going to use that trip to introduce me to my new community, best friends and completely change my life!!
What else can I say about myself? I have an African Spur Tortoise named Rocky!
