B.E.S.T. Volunteers

The Big Events and Special Tasks volunteers (affectionately known as the B.E.S.T. Volunteers) are the backbone of our all-church events! They are the smiley faces and helpful hands at our various church events here at Christ Chapel.

Opportunities to Serve

All-Church Events

Use your own preferences and skills to serve at various events at Christ Chapel. Interested people are placed on an email distribution list and will receive periodic emails outlining upcoming opportunities. You can then choose to help with certain events and tasks or pass on the opportunity altogether.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress …” (James 1:27, NIV84). Paul says, “Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need” (1 Timothy 5:3, NIV84). The Bible makes it very clear that God desires for the Church to take care of the needs of widows. Christ Chapel’s men want to put true religion into practice by serving the widows and single moms of our congregation. Our outreach method is simple. We ask four men to form a team and serve for three hours one Saturday each month.

Opportunities to Serve

Join ManPower and get involved with a team serving a single mom or widow. The teams of men will work on any number of domestic projects, including basic home repairs, odd jobs, yard work, computer help, etc. These men are not required to have any specific skills or abilities in order to serve.

Young Adult Ministries

Life Stage 2 ministers to people who are in college, living the post-grad life, figuring out how to be adults, or venturing into young married life.

Opportunities to Serve

College Home Group Leader
If you were asked to make a list of the 10 most influential sermons you’ve ever heard, it might take you a while. But if you were asked to make a list of the 10 most spiritually influential people in your life, it probably wouldn’t take very long. Why is that? It’s because we’re influenced by people more than we are by lessons. If you desire to have a monumental impact on a younger believer, signing up to be a College Home Group Leader allows you to do that. Email Josh at for more information on what it looks like.

Renovate Leadership Team
Our hope and prayer for Renovate is that it would continue to stretch beyond a Wednesday night event and be a community of people who are following Christ to see lives renovated by the power of the Gospel. We believe it is our call as believers to serve the church, serve the city and serve the globe. If you’d like to join the community of leaders who are giving of their lives to this end, then fill out our online application.

Renovate Home Group Leader
Be the spiritual shepherd for a group of young adults connected to Renovate. We meet weekly to open Scripture and do life together. If you’d like to explore being a home group leader, then set aside a chunk of time to fill out our online application.

Young Couples Coach
Major teaching events like “AveNEW” are set up with round tables and chairs where couples sit and learn from our engaging speakers. But we believe the magic really happens at the tables when we give time for conversation related to our teaching. It is our goal for every table to have a married “coach” couple to help direct conversation, develop community, connect new couples to Christ Chapel, and even act as mentors to engaged and newly-married couples who need a little extra encouragement. These events collectively happen about 16-20 times over the course of one year, so the commitment is not for every week! To take the next step toward coaching young couples, fill out our online application.

Young Couples Events
We love couples at Christ Chapel, so we host several large events throughout the year under the labels “AveNEW” and “Date Night Drive-Thru.” These events require many hands on deck for things like re-setting rooms with tables and chairs, putting out food items, arranging materials, welcoming couples into the venue, holding doors and cleaning up afterward. These events collectively happen over 20 times over the course of one year, so the commitment is not for every week! If you are interested in investing in young marriages, please contact Michael at
