Wow! What an amazing week we had at Kids Kamp! Last week 1,200 kids (and hundreds of volunteers) flooded our Fort Worth and West Campuses for the best week of the summer. For four days, we packed their mornings with crazy-awesome games, new friends, small groups, music with our rock star Kids Kamp band and the incredible news of the gospel! Here’s a quick recap of what happened.

This year’s theme was “All Aboard!” and taught Kids Kampers what it means to live life with a great God who loves them very much. Through skits, music and small group lessons, Kids Kampers learned that no matter what happens in our lives, we can know that God is with us and loves us. The kids were shown and told over and over what it’s like to live “all aboard” with God. Maybe most amazing, 221 kids took that “all aboard” message and made the decision to believe in Jesus as their Savior for the very first time! 221 — what amazing news!

All week Kids Kampers also learned about Adera, a ministry partner of Christ Chapel, that serves families and children in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Adera Foundation feeds 200 of the poorest students at the Hiber Primary School — these lunches help students to survive, and the love and care they receive in the name of Christ helps them to thrive — and our Kids Kampers were challenged to help raise money for their lunches. Kampers collected coins from under couch cushions and by doing chores around the house and, all together, they raised $5,700!

We are thanking God and praising Him for all the incredible growth, gospel-sharing, lunch money-giving, all-around fun and, most of all, the children who made the decision to have Jesus as their forever friend. Lives were changed this week – thank you for your service, your prayers and your support to pull off the best week of the summer!
