NEXT GENERATION CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
It’s our mission to come alongside families and help raise a new generation of believers who will love and lead for Jesus. Here at Christ Chapel, that starts with teaching our youngest who God is and how much He loves them.
“We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.”
PSALM 78:4 NLT
When you drop your children off in Next Generation Children’s Ministry, they’re going to have a great time! Every class, nursery through Grade 4, learns the Bible and worships by walking through the same Gospel Project curriculum. We help them learn that the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one giant story of God’s love and redemption. With every class learning the same story on Sundays, it’s our hope that families will be able to continue the discussion throughout the week at home.
First time to visit? Here are some tips to make the day go smoothly! >>
First Time Visitor Tips
“Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here today!”
That’s what your children will hear from our volunteers and staff as you bring them to our Next Generation Children’s Ministry. It probably won’t take you long to realize that the greeting is a heartfelt one. It truly is a joy to welcome each new child into our classrooms.
Our mission is to come alongside the family in reaching kids with the gospel of Christ and growing them up as Christ followers. Each time we receive a new child into our classroom we have another opportunity to share God’s plan with them. That’s pretty exciting stuff!
Parents, you will be glad to know that all of our volunteers have been through rigorous screening and safety training. Next Generation Children’s Ministry makes the safety and security of our children a high and non-wavering priority. There are at least two adult leaders in each classroom at all times and we have a matching-numbers name tag system in place for secure pick-up of our children. We also have a secured building that only parents, volunteers and staff may enter.
Here’s what you need to know about your first visit:
Come to the Children’s Guest Welcome area just past the Welcome Desk and watch for the big green leaves.
Our volunteers will assist you in filling out a form that will allow you to place your child/children in their appropriate classroom.
After placing your information into our computer and printing out name tags, you and your child/children will be escorted to their classroom.
We ask you to keep your cell phone on “vibrate” during the sermon in case we need to contact you.
After the service you will pick your child up from their classroom. Since your child is now registered, you may simply enter the last four digits of your phone number to receive tags each week. Check-in computer kiosks are located in multiple areas outside of the children’s area.
We believe that baptism is an important step of obedience for those who have accepted Christ as their personal Savior. When your child is ready to be baptized, we want to invite you to attend JumpStart! JumpStart, our children’s baptism class, is a 30-minute presentation designed to give kids and parents the tools necessary to start the conversation!
This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to publicly proclaim that they are a follower of Jesus. We encourage you to celebrate and invite your friends and family to witness this very special decision in your child’s life.
To receive more information about our children’s baptism process, please email Jennifer at JenniferR@christchapelbc.org.

The Special Friends Ministry at Christ Chapel considers it a privilege to provide a relationship-oriented, Christ-centered environment for all individuals with special needs. Through our team of well-trained “buddies,” it’s our goal to encourage each special friend to flourish in their unique abilities and love for Jesus. Special Friends classes meet during the 9:15 and 11 a.m. worship hours at the Fort Worth Campus only. Click the box below to download an enrollment and profile form.
Breakaway is a fun monthly event open to families of children with special needs. From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on a Friday night, our team of buddies plays games and spends time with our special needs friends at the Fort Worth Campus while parents get a little time themselves! Siblings up to age 12 are also invited. Email EmmaW@christchapelbc.org to find out more!
Scheduled six times a year, there is no “saving grace” attached to this ceremony, but it does have rich meaning and significance for parents. It’s a time for you to publicly declare your intention to raise your child in such a way that they have the opportunity to build a personal relationship with Jesus.
