We are excited to welcome you back for in-person worship! For a while, things are going to look a little different as we start worshipping in person again, but all the new measures and precautions are in place for your comfort and safety.

Below are a few questions that people have asked about resuming in-person worship. If and when you feel ready to attend an in-person service, here is some helpful information to know.

When will Christ Chapel resume in-person worship services?

We have resumed in-person worship services on Sundays in the Sanctuary and Chapel at the Fort Worth Campus, the Worship Center and The Hive at the West Campus, and The Depot at the South Campus. To maintain important safety and social distancing measures, we are limiting the number of people at each service.

Will I need a ticket to attend a worship service?

Yes, you will need a ticket to attend a worship service at any of our campuses (Fort Worth, West or South) or the Sunday Family Experience at West Campus. Each week, tickets are available on our website beginning on Wednesday. When you visit the ticket website, if the service you would like to attend is not listed, this means the service is already full.

If you get tickets and later decide to worship from home, we totally understand. If you would, help us make room for someone else at that service by returning your tickets. You can click the “Cancel Reservation” link at the bottom of your confirmation email to do so.

What safety measures can I expect when worshipping in person?

We are committed to helping protect your health and safety which is why we have put these specific steps and measures in place:

Limited Capacity
To ensure adequate social distancing, we are limiting the number of people in a worship service and on each campus at any one time. This is why we asking everyone who wants to worship in person to get a ticket ahead of time.

Social Distancing
We have put new measures in place to ensure social distancing for you and your family. These measures include how you enter and exit the building, and how and where you are seated at a service. A Deacon will be seating you which means you most likely won’t be able to sit in your normal spot (we know you all have them). At the end of the service, you’ll be dismissed by sections. If you’d like to stay and talk with friends, please do so outside and from a safe distance apart.

Increased Cleaning
All worship and high-traffic areas are thoroughly sanitized before, between and after services.

Masks Required While Entering, Exiting and Moving About the Campuses
All staff, leaders and volunteers will be wearing masks. In addition, we are requiring everyone joining us for worship at the Fort Worth, West and South Campuses to wear a mask while entering, exiting and moving about the building. Once you’re seated at a service, you will be able to take your mask off and worship without it. If you do not have a mask, don’t worry — we will have some available at the door!

Hand Sanitizer Stations
Stations with hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the church.

Contactless Environment
We’ve removed anything that you would normally touch or pick up during a service, so please plan ahead. Download the Christ Chapel app to access sermon notes and to have the ability to request prayer and give. Bring your own Bible and pen. Print out your sermon notes if you’d like a physical copy. You will be able to drop your offering in a receptacle if you’d like to give by cash or check. During this time, we won’t be able to supply coffee and donuts … but feel free to sneak your own in.

Will Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry and Adult Education Classes be available?

In-person Children’s Ministry is not yet be available, but here’s a link to this week’s Bible lesson and activities for kids! Student Ministry is gathering in person in small groups. In addition, HSM is meeting once a month at the Fort Worth Campus and West Campus. Adult Education classes will begin meeting in person once a month beginning in September.

Is everyone required to wear a mask?

All staff, leaders and volunteers will be wearing masks. In addition, we are requiring everyone joining us for worship at the Fort Worth, West and South Campuses to wear a mask while entering, exiting and moving about the building. Once you’re seated at a service, you will be able to take your mask off and worship without it. If you do not have a mask, don’t worry — we will have some available at the door!

What if I get tickets and decide I'd rather worship from home?

That’s totally fine and we’re excited to worship with you online! If you would, help us make room for someone else to join us in person by returning your tickets. All you have to do is click “Cancel Reservation” at the bottom of your ticket confirmation email.

Where do I park and enter the building?

We’re limiting which doors and parking lots will be open. Watch for the Parking Posse to direct you as you arrive on campus. Here are some helpful directions for where to head.

Fort Worth Campus — If you’re worshipping in the Sanctuary, park in one of the east lots and use the doors under the steeple. If you’re worshipping at Converge, park in the Parking Garage or a nearby grass lot and walk in any of the Chapel’s doors.

West Campus — It attending a service in the Worship Center, park up the hill in the east parking lot. You can enter the building through the east doors, located near Starting Point. If attending a service at The Hive, park on the lower level and walk in the front door.

South Campus — Park at The Depot. Extra parking will be available at Woolard’s off of Wilshire Boulevard if The Depot’s lot is full. Enter the building through the front door.

When will other on-campus activities resume?

We miss all our usual gatherings like you do! The Elder Board and leadership are continuing to monitor CDC and state guidelines for when it is safe and appropriate to return to all regularly scheduled events and gatherings. We will update you as decisions are made. You can also check the event page to see what online and limited in-person events are coming up!

Has Renovate started meeting on Wednesdays again?

Yes! Renovate is gathering once a month in person for their Wednesday night worship service. You can join them next on Wednesday, Sept. 23. There will be food trucks outside from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and worship will be at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary. For more info about how they’re meeting the rest of the month, head to their Instagram, @renovateftw.
