PASTORAL RESIDENCY

______________

Christ Chapel’s Pastoral Residency an intensive, yearlong, paid internship focused on developing you for the race that Jesus has called you to run. You’ll study a vibrant church model up close by entering into its everyday action.

Believing that ministry flows out of your own spiritual life, you’ll be mentored by Christ Chapel staff as you experience each individual ministry within Christ Chapel. You’ll also receive training and hands-on experience performing weddings, funerals, baptisms, the Lord’s Supper, hospital visits and counseling.

We want to be a greenhouse for leaders who are committed to running the race God has called them to. Learn from our experience, grow under our roof for a season and then go out into your ministry, fortified in how God has equipped you to both serve and lead. As you look to the future and your next steps, we invite you to consider Christ Chapel’s Pastoral Residency.

Christ Chapel Bible Church

First meeting in 1980, Christ Chapel Bible Church is an elder-led church that meets in two locations. Our Fort Worth Campus sits at the entrance of the city’s art district while our West Campus, 25-minutes to the west in Willow Park, is located in one of the state’s fastest-growing counties.

Christ Chapel is a church without walls, believing that church is much more than a building. We are people-focused as the hands and feet of Jesus in our communities.

Our Mission: To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully-developing follower of Christ (Col. 1:28-29)

What We Believe:

  • Jesus is God
  • Jesus was virgin born
  • Jesus died as a voluntary substitute for sinful man
  • Jesus was bodily raised from the dead
  • God imputes righteousness to the believer upon their acceptance by faith of His Son as Savior and gives the believer eternal life
  • Jesus will bodily return to the earth
  • The Bible is the inerrant Word of God

Our Five Purposes

We are committed to helping individuals become fully developing followers of Christ, or what the New Testament called “a disciple.” To accomplish this, it’s our goal and expectation that every individual who attends Christ Chapel would actively pursue the following five practices:

  • Worship – A growing passion for God’s glory
  • Connect – A growing capacity to love and be loved
  • Grow – A growing hunger for God’s Word
  • Serve – A growing desire to be God’s servant
  • Share – A growing excitement to share the gospel

Our Core Values

We’re committed to:

  • Monday-morning relevant biblical teaching
  • Grace manifested in loving relationships where we expect neither more nor less of each other than the Bible does
  • Unity in our decisions, our planning and our daily interactions
  • Being purpose-driven toward the spiritual development of every involved person
  • Honoring God through the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of our ministry
  • The priesthood of the believer and to a permission-giving mentality as it relates toe very believer’s ministry involvement

Fort Worth

Just 45 miles west of Dallas, Fort Worth is a big city that feels like a small town. Known as the place “where the West began,” Fort Worth stems from a rich western heritage. Currently the second largest city in DFW and the 16th largest city in the United States, this is an exciting time to discover Fort Worth as your very own.

A world-class museum district, growing restaurant scene, nationally ranked zoo, Bass Performance Hall, Sundance Square and downtown district, multiple universities including TCU and proximity to park trails and the Trinity River all help to make Fort Worth an ever-expanding, active city.

Seated at the entrance of Fort Worth’s cultural district, it’s our mission at Christ Chapel to serve as a church without walls, actively engaging the people and well being of our city. Join us in Fort Worth and discover how God is at work in this city.

… shepherd the flock of God that is among you …
