Women in the Workplace

Common Ground

Common Ground exists to provide personal, professional and spiritual resources for the working women of downtown Fort Worth.

Founder Sallie Clingman along with Kathy Harrelson and Ashley Freer serve as assistant ministers to women at this downtown location, with offices at 120 West Third St., Suite 111 (courtyard between Razoos's and Flowers on the Square).

This ministry provides the working women of Christ Chapel the intellectual and spiritual resources needed to grow in knowledge and faith, and to obey Christ in the workplace and become effective ambassadors for Him.

Our "common ground" is that we are women, we work and we are willing to consider important personal, professional, intellectual and spiritual issues.

Lessons from the Prophets: Obadiah, Jonah, Micah & Nahum
Mondays at noon
January-March 2012

Have you ever wondered where God is when tragedy strikes (Obadiah), or what he requires of you (Micah)? Is your heart compassionate toward others, as it should be (Jonah)? How confident are you that God is trustworthy (Nahum)? Come join us for a discussion about these prophets--and the things we can learn from the messages they shared.

Be There: A Series About Life Struggles
Wednesdays at Noon
January-April 2012

For every heartache, there is a balm that heals. For every need, there can be a friend who cares. That friend can be you. If you or someone you know is going through a difficult time, make plans to join us for this Wednesday series on life struggles and God's ability to meet our needs. We'll bring in guest speakers to chat with our group about a variety of subjects--from anger to anxiety to body image to loneliness, and more.

You Are the Gift

Join us to learn how to share your gifts.

Monday, April 16
6 to 8 p.m.
Chapel at Christ Chapel Bible Church
$10 for dinner

To others, you are the gift. God has gifted every Christian with a spiritual gift, passions, abilities, experiences and a personality unlike any other person. And He wants to use your gifts as a gift to others. How has He uniquely shaped you? Whom does He want to impact with your unique gifts? How can we even dream about fitting it into our schedules? Join other "gifted" women on April 16 as Kathy Burr guides us to a greater understanding of God's work in us, the joy we get from giving, and how we can be a gift to those around us.

Children's Ministry (no dinner) is available by reservation. RSVP by Wednesday, April 11 to Donna at DonnaB@christchapelbc.org.

Take your next step with God by beginning
a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Admit that you're a sinner, separated from a holy and perfect God.
(Romans 3:23, Isaiah 53:6)

Understand that the penalty for your sin is death - eternal separation from God and all that is good.
(Romans 6:23, Hebrews 9:27)

Believe that Jesus Christ took the penalty for your sin by dying in your place and conquered death by raising from the dead.
(Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:21)

Receive the free gift of salvation by trusting in Christ alone as your Savior from sin and death and your provider of true and eternal life.
(Romans 4:4-5, 5:1, Ephesians 2:8-9)

One way you can express your trust in Jesus Christ is by telling God Himself:

"Dear God,

I know that I'm a sinner. I know my sin deserves to be punished. I believe Christ died for me and rose from the grave. I trust Jesus Christ alone as my Savior. Thank You for the forgiveness and everlasting life that I now have. It is because of Jesus that I have peace praying these things to you.

- Amen."
