Parent Dedications at Christ ChapelParent Dedications are scheduled six times a year. These services are held on Saturday afternoons and are followed by a cake reception for family and friends. Parent Dedication does not have a direct basis in scripture, but does have rich meaning and significance for the family. It is a time for parents to publicly declare their intention to raise their child in such a way that they are given the opportunity to know God and establish a personal relationship with Christ. Dads have an opportunity during the service to tell the church family why they and their wives have chosen to dedicate themselves to raising their children in a Christ centered home. There is no "saving grace" attached to this ceremony. It is simply a statement of intent and desire. Participants need not be church members. Those wishing to participate should be able to answer "yes" to the following four questions:

As a further component of the Parent Dedication ministry, Christ Chapel hosts a Parenting Foundation Workshop several times a year. This workshop is designed to provide parents a biblical foundation for parenting, family, and raising children in the training and instruction of the Lord. Jeff and Anjanette Walchshauser (Life Stage 3 Pastor and wife) host this workshop in three Monday night sessions from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel. Child care is provided for your children through 4th grade. Please choose one workshop option and indicate your need for child care during the workshop as part of your overall Parent Dedication registration. Parent Dedication Sign-up Form
