Our Philosophy
As an independent, non-denominational Bible church, Christ Chapel is a self-governing local body of believers who embrace the following truths as non-negotiable and essential to our understanding and application of the Scriptures.
What We Believe
-
the verbal, plenary, inerrant inspiration of the Bible
-
the virgin birth, absolute deity and sinless life of Jesus Christ
-
the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ to provide salvation for all
-
the Person and work of the Holy Spirit
-
the reality of Satan and his destructive work today
-
the personal and bodily return of Jesus Christ
-
the bodily resurrection of all men: some to eternal life & some to everlasting punishment
Our Five Purposes
We are committed to helping you become a fully-developing follower of Christ, or what the New Testament calls “a disciple.” To accomplish this, we’ve designed our ministries around five New Testament spiritual purposes:
-
Worship - A growing passion for God’s glory
-
Connect - A growing capacity to love and be loved
-
Grow - A growing hunger for God’s Word
-
Serve - A growing desire to be God’s servant
-
Share - A growing excitement to tell God’s story
Our Core Values
We’re committed to:
- Monday-morning - relevant biblical teaching
- Grace manifested in loving relationships where we expect neither more nor less of each other than the Bible does
- Unity in our decisions, our planning and our daily interactions
- Being purpose-driven toward the spiritual development of every involved person
- Honoring God through the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of our ministry
- The priesthood of the believer and to a permission-giving mentality as it relates to every believer’s ministry involvement
- Allowing God to speak through the daily provision of our financial needs, including a debt-free facility
- Encouraging personal shepherding and life change through small groups
